Hope Reformed Baptist Church is doctrinally reformed and ecclesiastically Baptist. As a reformed church, Hope holds to the doctrines recovered by the Protestant Reformation of the 16th century. Those doctrines are summed up in the five "solas" of the reformation. They are: Sola Fide, Sola Gratia, Sola Scriptura, Sola Christos and Soli Deo Gloria. As a Baptist church, Hope does not belong to a denomination but believes the scripture teaches the autonomy of each local church under the headship of Jesus Christ. We believe that the summary of the essentials doctrines of scripture are summed up in the London Baptist Confession of 1689.
